04693 Intermediate Structural Technician

Company:

A small engineering consultancy that works closely with Design and Build contractors and Developers to deliver design solutions from conception to completion. This includes design of multi-storey offices, hotels, student accommodation and housing sites.

Each team within the company acts as a separate profit centre with their own 6 month targets and performance related bonus.

Job Description:

A Structural Technician is required to work closely with, and provide support to, a team of Structural Engineers, developing drawings and details for Structural projects using AutoCAD & Revit. The vacancy has arisen due to continued growth and expansion of the company.

Your day-to-day role involves the production of drawings, both proposed and working versions. You will also be expected to produce other associated design documentation and you will be expected to take responsibility for some of the company's clients and projects.

You are to assist the other engineering technicians and train juniors through working closely with them. You would report directly to the senior technician.

Person Specification:

To apply for the position of Structural Technician you should have completed an HND in Civil Engineering or other relevant qualifications in AutoCAD & Revit. To accompany this educational background you must have relevant UK based work experience, in a similar position within an engineering consultancy.

You should feel able to convert drawings to AutoCAD/Revit from Engineer's calculations and your own expertise. You should be able to work to specified deadlines and manage your time appropriately.

You should be enthusiastic, motivated and organised with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and supervise and encourage others around you.
