A fantastic opportunity for Engineering Manager has arisen within an excellent Housing Developer in North Yorkshire. The role would be a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineer looking for progression to Engineering Manager or an established Engineering Manager seeking an opportunity to work for a good quality Housing Developer. You will be responsible for securing and ensuring that all technical information, drawings/details, services/suppliers enquiries, quotations and acceptances, technical approvals/agreements for (S38, 278 & S104, etc) and on-site service connections are issued and received in accordance with all statutory and planning approval requirements in line with the agreed drawings, specifications, budget requirements covering foundations, all main services, roads and sewers, drainage, earthwork plans, boundary details, street scene and technical design and health & safety requirements and plans. You will advise on and commission the appointment of external consultants for site investigations, structural and civil services, topographical, environmental investigations and dilapidation surveys, flooding reports and transportation assessments. You will develop effective relationships and communication channels with consultants, contractors, suppliers other stakeholders, including, but not limited to:- Contracts Manager Site Manager Building Control Officers Local Authorities and statutory bodies (Highways, Environmental Health) Environmental Agencies Warranty Providers Clerk of Works
To be considered for this role, you will be NHC/HND or degree qualified and MUST have Housing Developer experience. ~ You will have a strong design and planning expertise and technical knowledge ~ Knowledge of utility companies, procedures, license and legislating framework. ~ You will possess a good understanding of the differing and varying planning requirements, policies and preferences of Local Authorities. ~ Knowledge of specific design and specification features with regards to road and sewer agreements. ~ Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form. ~ Possess good leadership skills as well as experience of developing junior engineers.
